The train stalled. Literally. At the worst possible time. In the morning. Where people are either rushing for work or for classes.

I must say I was VERY shocked when I saw the number of people at the MRT platform. It was a crowd worse than those at Outram Park during the evening peak hours. As I was saying, I was thinking to myself, why are there so many people here today? Questions filled my tired and not yet awake mind then.

The answer was revealed when I got down to the platform and saw what was happening. It was not that the train was late. Rather, the train was already there but... stuck on the platform. I believe it remained stuck there for about 10 minutes. The crowd I saw crowding around the platform looks like 4 or 5 trains have passed by without letting the passengers on.

When my tired brain processed what was happening, the first thought that struck me was WTF?! I don't want to be late for work! Duh.

Luckily for me, the system resumed to normal after about 5 minutes counting from the time I reached the MRT platform. But that was not the end of my bad morning. I wish it did, but nope...

Like I said, the one train that got stalled, and of all places, my starting station, must have been down for a significant amount of time. Naturally, passengers from the next few stations were affected as badly as I was. The end result?

The train I was on was PACKED LIKE A SARDINE CAN! There was literally only space for your feet to stand on. Almost everyone on board was squashed like sardines. To make things worse, people kept jostling and trying to get on the train at the different stations. The irony out of all these? The station microphone kept repeating the announcement that the next train will arrive in about 2 minutes. Nobody bothered about the announcement and only concentrated on getting on board. And believe me, it's a sick and suffocating feeling when the train is overloaded with people. ESPECIALLY ON THE MORNING AFTER A PUBLIC HOLIDAY!

If I had a choice, I would wait for a less crowded train before boarding. I kinda regretted boarding the second train after the train disruption. The crowd was ok when I boarded the train, but... I should have known better. After all, there are a LOT of other people at the next few stations...

And so, I was so happy after I got off the train at Clarke Quay. The sensation I got after alighting the train was akin to having a heavy and burdensome weight lifted off one's shoulders. Whew.

P/S: I'm starting to hate train rides after this morning's incident. It doesn't help that you need the train to get to places during the morning and evening peaks. And I don't like long bus journeys... :(

Started work at MDA since Monday. I'm also trying to re-adjust my biological clock. Being a night owl and having to wake up at 6.30am every morning is a chore! It almost feels like I'm having jet-lag, and I seriously think I am. It's a radical overturn of my body clock. LOL.

The work at MDA is pretty slack, with a few major events now and then. I'm slowly getting into the hang of the way things work there, but still needing help now and then. And there's actually not a lot to do here. You only get work when there are major projects/events happening.

Was assigned to so-called take charge of a project yesterday. So excited and yet afraid of messing things up. Good thing I'm not the only sole in-charge. And MDA really do take care of interns. They give you real stuff to do and not treat you like some 'office girl' who helps pour coffee. Haha. All in all, I am enjoying my stint at MDA and I do think I will benefit from this stint. And beginning to be more certain that an office environment suits me just fine. Maybe it's because I haven't come into contact with office politics as yet.

Everyone here is fun to work with, and not to mention good lunch mates. Haha. Lunch is really a good time to bond with the people you are working with, especially when you are separated by cubicles and doing your own stuff most of the time. But if I'm all alone in a cubicle, I think I'll suffocate. And so, the good thing is, I'm sharing a cubicle with two other people, so I don't get too bored most of the time. Most of the work is split between the three of us. :P

Ok la, I guess that's it for now. Ciao!

You are Yuuki Cross. Treated like a daughter by the headmaster, she makes sure that the humans stay back from and do not find out about the vampires at her school. Caught between the affections of a pureblood vampire and her best friend, she lets Zero suck blood from her neck to control his blood urges. You are immature and naive, yet caring.

I just did a "What anime girl are you" quiz on Facebook, and the result? I'm hooked to Vampire Knight recently and I got Yuuki from the anime as my anime counterpart. Haha, can't believe this coincidence! Or is it? :P

Exams are long over and I have been spending my days doing what?

One, meeting up with friends and doing my favourite shopping.

Two, rolling up at home watching all the different dramas and animes I wanna watch.

Speaking of dramas, "Fated to Love You" is very bit as good as friends have been gushing about. You can't stop once you have started on the addictive romantic comedy! The only way you can stop is when you have to wait for a new episode to come out. Haha... I'm addicted and currently anxiously waiting for the latest episode to come out... The next episode will be hot!

Going to start my 2-month long attachment with MDA next Monday. And guess what? Dr. Dawson is my NTU supervisor! Gosh! I was so shocked when I saw his name on my NTU supervisor list. I never expected him to be my supervisor. So, I'm still recovering from the shock, because it means he will go down to MDA a day to supervise me at work! But I do like him as a prof. Hehe. Complicated feelings.
