"The Campaign To Confer The Public Service Star On JBJ" was great! It is seriously hard not to like it. Everything about it was simply wonderful! The fact that the stage is almost bare does not make a dent on the fact that the play is totally worth watching. In short, the actors are great, the script is great, the director is great, and also not to mention that the male protagonist is very good-looking. I was blown away by his charm, especially when he was playing David Lee.. He looks so cute.. Hee hee..

That aside, I was amazed by the speed in which the two actors changed their clothes. I know there are people backstage who will help with the changing of costumes, but it was nonetheless amazing. Then again, clothes are only secondary. The acting is more important. There was a moment on stage where Rodney had to change from one character to another on stage. He simply threw out the accessories for the other character and instantly morphed into the other character. Ivan Heng mentioned something about that being deliberate, that there are no secrets on stage. Despite having to play different characters within the same play, I think Rodney O. and Pam O. bought the characters they play alive. Their mannerisms, accent, everything was not slipped up. And oh yes, for a moment when Pam was playing the Malay woman, I thought fleetingly that it was another actress, a Malay one at that, unless I realised that the voice was Pam's. Pam managed to bring out the Malays' unique accent and articulation. It was flawess.

In all, the play is worth the money and time. The only flaw was that some people came in late and disrupted my viewing of the play. But then, that is only a minor flaw. The awesome staging of the play makes up for any flaws. A big 'Hurray' to the cast and everyone else involved in the production of the play. You make my day..
