Flashbacks ~ my fave idols for this year @ 4:05 PM


As I’m sure most of my friends would know, my favourite idols are Energy. No surprise here. Haha.

I started to notice Energy when I was in Secondary 4. It’s been 3, 4 years since then…
Back in secondary school, my buddies and I were pretty fanatic about idols. Every one of us has our own fave idol[s].

What drew me to Energy was their songs. It can be full of energy and hip hop, and at the same time, passionate and touching. I remember my fave song then was ‘Di Er Ci Ai Shang Ni’. I like the slow melody of the song. It was hard not to like, seriously. From then on, I started to pay close attention to their songs. I have a fave song on each of their albums, believe? Some of my close friends even teased me for supporting the group for such a long time.

2005 was a tumultuous year for the those guys. Lead singer, Ady, suffered from serious back problems. At one time, he even left the group to concentrate on his back treatment. Leader Milk, announced his departure from the group to focus his energy on his dance comapny later, leaving the rest of the three to stand on their own. Miraculously, all these have not minimized fans’ adoration for them. They even won ‘Best group’ and ‘Courts’ idols’ at this year’s Singapore Hits Awards. I felt this was quite a feat, considering the ever-changing music industry.
